Banijay Entertainment and crypto startup Anonymous Labs have secured the licensing rights to develop a blockchain-based game based on the hit television series Peaky Blinders. The game, scheduled for release in 2026, will feature an in-game cryptocurrency and blend interactive experiences with action sequences.

Set in post-World War I Birmingham, England—mirroring the show’s gritty backdrop—the project aims to bridge Web2 intellectual property with Web3 ecosystems. Anonymous Labs, known for its focus on tokenizing mainstream media IP, has yet to reveal the game’s title or specific blockchain infrastructure.

The Peaky Blinders franchise, starring Cillian Murphy as gang leader Thomas Shelby, concluded its six-season run in 2022 after airing on BBC and Netflix. This marks one of the first major TV-to-blockchain adaptations in the gaming sector.
